Make it your business to teach drama!
The Helen O’Grady Drama Academy runs exciting classes for children and young people between the ages of 5 and 17.
The curriculum is guaranteed to develop children’s speech, language and communication skills!
You could become part of the team!

The Academy offers an opportunity for energetic and enthusiastic teachers to run a business which allows contact with children, school holidays free and an attractive income.
Each Principal is self employed in an exclusive territory and can work from an office at home. Classes operate in school term time only, allowing more time for family.
We will support you all the way!
As a Principal with the Academy you will be part of an international network with a wealth of communication and support. We will provide you with a structured drama curriculum which is constantly revised and updated.
Training is thorough and ongoing with Principals attending a termly Seminar to workshop future curriculum and to receive excellent business and marketing advice.
30 years of experience!

The Academy was founded in a church hall in Perth, Australia in 1979.
In 2009 it reaches its 30th Anniversary worldwide and celebrates 15 years of operation in the UK.
A great amount of time has been spent developing a curriculum encompassing an extensive range of drama activities designed to capture the imagination of children of all ages.
Developing children’s confidence and verbal communication skills!

The Bercow Review in August 2008 highlighted the requirement of the education system to focus on improving the language and communication skills of young students.
John Bercow MP said: “The ability to communicate is an essential life skill for all children and young people in the 21st century. It is at the core of all social interaction. With strong communication skills, children can engage and thrive. Without them children will struggle to learn, achieve, make friends and interact with the world around them.”
The Helen O’Grady system is totally focussed on addressing these social and educational concerns. The curriculum taps into the natural interest children have in drama and helps them develop into confident, articulate young people, more able to succeed in later life.
There has never been a better time to become involved!
In our modern world, when young people rely so much on technology to communicate using texts, emails and social networking sites, it is crucial we nurture our children’s confidence to allow them to hold their heads up, speak clearly and present themselves well in all situations. Principals worldwide have the support of schools and parents and demand for classes is growing.
An interest in and an enthusiasm for drama is far more important than formal drama training. You will need to have experience and a love of working with children. All territories are exclusive. With good teaching, smart administration and excellent marketing and promotion the possibilities are endless.
An investment in the future!
A full sized branch costs £15,000 and an interest free payment plan is available. This is an excellent cash flow business, with the bulk of the fees being collected at the commencement of each term. A franchise Principal can earn in excess of £30,000 per annum. The growth of a branch is limited only by a Principal’s creativity and imagination.
A good deal to get you started!
To help the set up process, we will ask for only a deposit. This means you could be running an Academy for an investment of just £3,000!
The interest free option will still be available on the franchise fee and repayments will begin at the end of your first term of operation, giving you time to establish your business!
For creative people who wish to run their own business, this is an offer too good to miss!
